SpraySeeMO & SomeraRoad are excited to invite KC to the debut of a compilation of World Cup-inspired murals in Kansas City’s historic West Bottoms neighborhood. As an opportunistic real estate investment and development firm, SomeraRoad is an ideal partner & this initiative will further transform the district into a living canvas through seven new public murals painted by local and visiting artists. The event will also feature live painting activations designed to engage residents and visitors alike ahead of and during the tournament.

On Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6,  a collective of Kansas City-based artists and internationally recognized muralists will create seven works live throughout the neighborhood, each interpreting the global energy of the World Cup in Kansas City through their own distinct creative lens. Visiting artists include JEKS, Caratoes and Mr. B Baby, alongside Kansas City-based artists including Femme9, Phybr, Rif Raf Giraffe and CHUE. The community will be invited to watch artists paint in real time on Friday, during First Friday Weekend in the West Bottoms and on Saturday, as well, leading up to a DJ set by Sheppa & Friends, an installation from Samsara Designs, and more from 7-11pm Sat June 6th.

“Growing up in a border town, I experienced firsthand how sports can bring people together across cultures, languages, and backgrounds. There’s nothing quite like the pride and sense of community that sports create. As an artist, creating is often a very solitary experience, but being a muralist has allowed me to turn that into something shared, creating work for people, neighborhoods, and communities to connect through.”
- Mr. B Baby

“I feel this is one of, if not the biggest, moments ever for Kansas City.  A town of this size to be able to bring in the world's largest sporting event, and host some of its most recognizable teams & stars, will be the crowning achievement in the legacy of KC's history.”
- Rif Raf Giraffe

"Being a part of this project for the World Cup is an amazing opportunity. We get to show off the talented artists Kansas City has to all the tourists coming for the World Cup. Thanks to SpraySeeMO for the opportunity.”
- CHUE

“Kansas City has a deep and authentic public art culture, and we’re excited to continue building on that momentum in a way that is accessible, immersive and community-driven,” said Ami Ayars at SpraySeeMO. “This initiative is about celebrating creativity at every level by bringing internationally recognized artists together with incredible local talent to create something that both residents and visitors can experience.”

The initiative also builds on a broader effort by the City of Kansas City, Missouri, to unveil 100 murals before the World Cup. SpraySeeMO has contributed to approximately 75% of the murals completed as part of the initiative and is nearing the milestone’s completion with the last massive mural by Miami-based artist Hoxxoh, being painted that same weekend from June 3-9, 2026 at Brewery Emperial in the East Crossroads!

Led by SomeraRoad, the reimagined West Bottoms will put the neighborhood’s architectural history at center stage, revitalizing the cherished community landmarks into creative office, residential, retail and hospitality spaces.

“Public spaces play a critical role in creating vibrant neighborhoods, and this initiative is an exciting opportunity to celebrate both Kansas City’s creative community and the global moment the World Cup will bring to our city,” said Grant Hromas, Vice President of Development at SomeraRoad and head of the firm’s Kansas City office. “As we continue to drive forward the revitalization of the West Bottoms, we’re committed to creating experiences that bring people together and contribute to the neighborhood’s deep cultural identity. SpraySeeMO is an incredible local partner that we’re proud to work alongside to create a meaningful creative moment for both locals and visitors to enjoy throughout this moment of international excitement.”
