This year brought us a global pandemic, political unrest, and weather phenomena brought on by climate change - all cast against a backdrop of people’s struggle for equality. Part of an artist’s drive throughout history has been to capture the essence of these moments in a way that can articulate the emotions we are all feeling at this time. It is with that mindset that we hope to bring some light to what has been a very difficult year for most by putting on Kansas City’s annual SpraySeeMO Mural Festival.

SpraySeeMO 2020 featured 28 painters from across the country and together they added 22 fresh new murals throughout the Crossroads Arts District!! Collaboration was a large component during this year’s festival, which highlights the need this year has unearthed for genuine human connection. With hardly any public events, this year also illuminated our city’s passion for large-scale creative expression - it was amazing to witness the turnout day after day of visitors walking, riding, and driving by at a distance to watch all the artists at work and cheer them on. We also had an unprecedented number of personal donations from our community and we are tremendously thankful for the outpouring of support from everyone in our time of need! Thank you to all of you who helped bring this year back to life!

And we are pleased to announce 2020’s main sponsor, Local Foodery! Coming soon to Kansas City, Local Foodery is a crave-worthy food truck entertainment venue, featuring year-round diverse food truck fare, extensive local bar selections, coffee shop incubators, and multi-purpose event space. Local Foodery understands the power and solidarity of the Crossroads and the greater Kansas City area and are proud to support SpraySeeMO and it’s artists.
